YAHYA JAMMEH is the president of Gambia. he has been the president since 22 July 1994. he took power in a military coup in 1994. but was elected in 1996 and reelected in 2001,2006 and 2011.

José Eduardo dos Santos became Angola president in 1979. he is also the commander in chief of the Angolan army and the president of the major Angolan political party which have been in power since her independence. this simply implies that the possibility of overthrowing him is slim.

TEODORO OBIANG NBASOGO is the 3rd longest serving African leader. he has been in power since 1979. He is the president of Equatorial Guinea. He became president after  he overthrew his uncle Francisco Macías Nguema in 1979. He was formerly the head of the African union from 31 January 2011 to 29 January 2012.

Paul Biya is the president of Cameroon. a former colony of France. prior to being the president he was the  prime minister for 5years from 1975. He narrowly won the 1992 presidential election in cameroun, single-ballot vote and was re-elected by large margins in 1997, 2004, and 2011. he is regarded as the current longest serving African leader.
